All of our listings are curated to a high standard and are subject to approval. You can learn more about our review process below but please note that even unsuccessful submissions are liable for a €29.99 admin fee, so please follow the guidelines below to increase your chances of acceptance.

 

OUR LISTING CATEGORIES

Hotels
We accept submissions from hotels with a rating of 3-5 stars, still subject to approval. No airport hotels please!
Leisure
Most types of leisure activities are accepted as long as they are legal and clean! No pornography or drug sites please!
Tours
We love lisbon tour guides and welcome submissions from all types of tour operators.
Tourism
We will consider all types of companies which operate as tourist attractions in and around lisbon.
Cuisine
All types of restaurants and cuisine are considered and will be anonymously visited by a member of our team.

Please check via the search tool on the HOME page to see if your business is already listed. If it is, congratulations, you are one of the establishments that we have already visited and love. You get a free year on the house!

where is your company based?

We are the Lisbon Directory by name and by nature we will remain. What that means for you is that we will consider anything within the catchment area pictured.

do you have an online presence?

Make sure you have a robust online presence before applying as we will need to verify your existence first virtually.

do you have a physical location?

If your company has a physical presence then we would love to come and say hello! Just make sure we can find your business location readily via online search.

A picture says a thousand words and we will require a minimum of 4 hi-res images to feature on your listing page. Please make sure you have these ready to upload and that you own the necessary copyrights & permissions.

Some of our most popular enquiries answered below…

  1. How long will it take for my listing to be visible on the directory? Please allow for 2-5 working days.
  2. Do you accept retail & shop listings?  Regrettably not at this time, whilst we recognise there are many Lisbon themed shops, most however are not, which would have led to too many unapproved submissions. We don’t want that!  
  3. Why do you charge an admin fee? To cover our verification costs and to also help prevent unwanted / spam listing submissions.
  4. Can I write my own listing text? No, ultimately we are reviewing your company from a personal perspective and we also want to maintain consistency in writing style, grammar, word-count, spelling & SEO.
  5. Can I pay to get on the front page? No, every listing posted will also have front page coverage for a period of time, dependent on the popularity of the listing category. 
  6. Can I have my listing removed? Yes, at any time by sending support a takedown request from the company email or email that you first registered with.
  7. How do I end my subscription? You can prevent your recurring subscription at anytime via your account page.
  8. What happens if my company details change? Simply drop support an email from the company email or email that you first registered with and we will take care of the rest.
  9. Can I apply for more than one listing? Yes, but only one at a time. 
  10. What if I have a franchise of many branches? You will need one subscription per listing entity as we verify each one individually and review each on their respective merits.
