Lisbon has become one of the hottest art destinations in Europe drawing people for its modern as well as contemporary galleries. The Museu Coleção Berardo is one these and you will find a collection of some of the greatest names in Modern Art in what some say is the best modern art museum Lisbon has to offer.

Museu Coleção Berardo | The Berardo Collection
Open every day from 10am to 7pm and free admissions all day on Saturdays, the Museu Coleção Berardo is ideal for guided tours for families, schools, and university students alike. There are special tours for kids up to the age of 12 as well.
Museu Coleção Berardo has a permanent exhibition of artists like Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Max Ernst, Salvador Dali, Bruce Norman, and others who have redefined art. Jose Berardo has acquired these artworks for the last two decades and put on display at the museum.
The Museu Coleção Berardo is arguably the most notable modern art museum Lisbon has on offer, but it is certainly not the only one, overshadowed perhaps only by the Gulbenkian, the museum is very popular at certain times of the season. I personally like a bit of space to fully immerse myself into great works, hoards of bustling crowds are not my thing and for that reason I have not actually managed a visit myself as yet. I shall go in winter and keep you posted!
I did however, after researching this post about the museum, instantly recognise the distinctive sculpture / logo that the Museu Coleção Berardo have outside the gallery while passing. I am a great fan of contemporary art, if the names above still count, nevertheless to look upon these masters is very much on my Lisbon bucket list!
