Teatro Nacional de São Carlos

Teatro Nacional de São Carlos is the main opera house in Lisbon, Portugal.

It was inaugurated on June 30, 1793 by the Prince Regent D. João to replace the Teatro Ópera do Tejo, which was destroyed in the 1755 Earthquake.
