Back then, it was the era of silent movies, and the theater premiered the film “Violetas Imperiais.” By 1930, it had embraced sound, screening the film “A Parada do Amor.” As I wandered through the theater, it was easy to imagine the buzz of those early days, the excitement of experiencing something new and modern.

🎨 Architecturally, the Teatro Tivoli is a masterpiece. Its layout, influenced by Italian theater design, includes an orchestra pit, stage, balconies, and box seats, all under a striking dome. The exterior, almost square in shape with various articulated bodies, features a central cylindrical body with radiant ironwork on the door transoms. The side facades, segmented by pilasters with rectangular doors and windows adorned with garlands and festoons, add to its grandeur. Inside, the artistic ambiance is palpable, where tradition meets modernity. The wooden and stone floors, stuccoed ceilings, and decorative iron elements all contribute to its unique character.
